Iced out 🧊 Bears QB Caleb Williams’ application to trademark the “Iceman” nickname “is on hold” after the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office “denied it," according to the Chicago Sun-Times. The USPTO cited a conflict with an existing trademark held by LaCrosse Footwear for its “Iceman” boots. Officials said the similarity could create consumer confusion. Williams had applied to use the name across sporting goods, apparel and other products, but the USPTO suggested narrowing it — potentially to categories like sunglasses. He still has a separate application pending for an “Iceman” logo and can appeal the ruling.
