I would often speak about how much I hate running all throughout my life. Then, I hit my 30s, and that itch to train up to something started growing. And with so many of my loved ones signing up for their own races, I felt inspired to try.
From March until May of 2026, I trained up for the inaugural Centre LGBT+ Pride 5k: Love on Display. I figured it would be a good first for me, as it was the first 5k Centre LGBT+ has ever done as well.
Training didn’t go as smoothly as I thought or planned, but I tried my best and even did better than I ever thought possible.
