The very gift RM (rkive) received when he was named a global ambassador of the National Museum of Korea is becoming official merch. ๐๏ธ๐
The gift was a special scroll version of Daedongyeojido, Koreaโs first survey-based map of the entire country, originally created in 1861 and recreated at one-seventh of its original size.
Even more impressive? It was made 165 years ago, long before GPS or satellites existed. Using nothing but his own two feet, cartographer Kim Jeong-ho traveled across the country to create the first survey-based map connecting the entire Korean Peninsula. ๐บ๏ธโจ
The original Daedongyeojido is currently on display at the National Museum of Korea (nationalmuseumofkorea), while this special edition lets you own a piece of that history.
Meanwhile, only 100 of these scrolls will ever be made, each with its own unique serial number. And serial No. 1 already belongs to RM. ๐
So technically, there are only 99 left. ๐
If youโd like to own this beautiful piece of Korean...
