🇺🇸 Stories of A250 🇺🇸 November 13, 1982. A simple black granite wall was dedicated on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Inscribed on it were the names of more than 58,000 Americans who gave their lives in the Vietnam War. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial did something remarkable: it shifted the focus from the politics and controversy of that war to service and sacrifice. It gave a grateful nation a place to remember, reflect, and honor those who answered their country's call. It allowed a nation to heal and honor men and women who gave their last full measure of devotion. Sometimes America's greatest are acts of remembrance. #America250 #VietnamVeteransMemorial #StoriesOfA250
