Gabriella Karin is a Holocaust survivor whose life embodies courage, memory, and moral clarity. Born in Bratislava, she survived the Holocaust at just 14 years old by hiding with her family for nine months in a one-bedroom apartment, sheltered by a young lawyer who risked his life to save them. After the war, Gabriella ensured he was honored as Righteous Among the Nations, turning gratitude into lasting justice.
Through the project Borrowed Spotlight, I had the profound honor of helping share Gabriella’s story — not as history frozen in time, but as a living reminder of what humanity looks like in its darkest moments. Being part of this project fills me with deep pride. It is a privilege to help carry her voice forward and to stand alongside a survivor whose life teaches us that remembrance is responsibility, and courage always matters.
Thank you borrowedspotlight and brycethompson for doing this, and letting me be part of it. 💙🤍
