Infielder Nick Lucky woke up to a phone call from his Indy Ball manager that he was being signed by the Mets.
Two weeks ago, Lucky was playing for the Lancaster Stormers and living at home in Denver, Pennsylvania. Last night, he tallied four hits for Double-A Binghamton.
