It’s not a deal. It’s a gamble with a structural part on your car.
A real wheel goes through an impact test, a bending-fatigue test, and a radial test before it ever sees a car. It has a stamped load rating so you know exactly how much weight it can hold. 🛞
That rating exists because a wheel is a structural part, not an accessory. It’s connected to your suspension, it’s holding the weight of your car, and it’s the thing between your tire and the road at 70mph. 🚗
Some of those cheap “forged” listings are just cast wheels with a forged marketing claim slapped on them. No testing. No load rating. No quality control. No one to answer for it when something goes wrong. And the worst part? Most people have no way to know the difference just by looking at the listing. 😐
The photos look great. The description sounds right. The price feels like you beat the system. You didn’t beat the system. A wheel failing at speed ...
