"I want to run faster!" ~ Zach, a young athlete and patient at shrinersslc.
The 10-year-old was born with fibular hemimelia in his right leg, which means he was missing his fibula. After consultations with his medical team, he underwent a below-the-knee amputation of his right leg. Since then, he's been unstoppable! He plays soccer, skis and swims, but his passion is running.
He and his family have a special friendship with Paralympian and former Shriners Children's national ambassador Hunter Woodhall. They share the same condition and love of running.
We know we will be hearing a lot more about Zach and his accomplishments!
