For the second year in a row, Fast Company has named a Texas A&M University innovation as a 2026 World Changing Ideas honoree.
This year’s recognition highlights a breakthrough in cardiac care: a regenerative heart patch designed to support healing after a heart attack. Developed by Dr. Ke Huang at the Texas A&M Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy, the patch is engineered to work directly at the site of injury and help the heart recover.
This innovation reflects Texas A&M’s commitment to service and to strengthening the health of communities in Texas, the nation and beyond.
