LOWER BACK HEALTH 🧰
-
If I were building a resilient lower back, I wouldn’t chase stretches or avoid movement.. I’d train it intelligently. These are the exercises I’d prioritize and why:
1️⃣ Build Strong Hip / Hip Rotation
Strong hips help absorb force and stabilize your pelvis, reducing stress on your lower back during everyday movement and exercise. Improving hip strength also enhances posture and movement efficiency, helping prevent common causes of lower back pain.
2️⃣ Back Extensions
Builds endurance and strength in the spinal erectors so your back can handle load instead of avoiding it.
3️⃣ Adductor Strengthening
Strong adductors stabilize the pelvis. A stable pelvis = less unwanted stress dumped into the low back.
4️⃣ Hip Flexor / Psoas Lying Leg Lifts
A strong psoas supports spinal position and control. Weak hip flexors often show up as “tight” or cranky lower backs.
5️⃣ Jefferson Curls (done properly)
Loaded spinal flexion builds tolerance and strength through range. ...
