Here’s a more conversational version that keeps the focus on impact: As Philadelphia celebrates America’s 250th anniversary, I’ve had the opportunity to serve on the Women’s Committee for the 250th and help organize a pitch competition focused on supporting women-owned businesses. The goal was simple: give local entrepreneurs a platform to share ideas and solutions that make a positive impact on our communities. It was inspiring to hear so many innovative pitches, and even more exciting to award $72,000 in funding to five businesses doing incredible work right here in our region.
