#FromTheArchives Nancy Mace was called out by Democrat representative Sara Jacobs in 2025 for being ‘obsessed’ with trans people. While debating the ‘Defense Authorization Bill’ on the House floor, Jacobs took aim at Mace and other Republicans for their obsessive attacks on gender-affirming care. Mace has been attempting to fill the bill with anti-trans addendums that would strip trans people of their right to access crucial care.Jacobs said: "I think it’s very interesting that my colleague from South Carolina is so obsessed with the issue of trans people". She then pointed out that many of her colleagues, including some who oppose gender-affirming care for trans people, have likely received it themselves. "Filler is gender-affirming care. Boob jobs is gender-affirming care. Botox is gender-affirming care." Mace could then be heard shouting: "Ridiculous! Absolutely ridiculous!"
