Participants at the 56th annual Delta Park Powwow and encampment took part in a traditional celebration, ate fry bread and shopped from vendors selling handmade art and jewelry. The annual celebration is organized by the Bow and Arrow Culture Club, a nonprofit that raises money to fund the event. “It’s just a place to get educated on Native community and cultures,” Mercedes White Calf, Southwest Washington Accountable Community of Health’s Tribal Liaison, said before the event. “It’s a place for us to practice our traditional tribal dances and wear our regalia.” Read more at the link in our bio. 📷: mark_w_graves #powwow #nativeamericanculture #nativeamerican #firstnationspeople #oregon #celebration #portland #portlandoregon
