Two businesses were broken into early Monday on Chicago's Northwest Side, with surveillance video showing thieves burglarizing both establishments. The incidents were reported at Snacks and Smoke, located at Cicero and Belmont avenues in Portage Park, and Milano Bar, along School Street near Harding Avenue in Avondale. Surveillance footage showed the smash-and-grab burglary inside the snack and smoke shop, as thieves ransacked the business. The owner, who chose not to speak on camera, said it's the fourth time the business has been targeted in 11 months. Roughly a mile and a half away, thieves armed with sledgehammers struck Milano Bar, getting in and out within two minutes. “I’m just done, you know, I just want it to be over, because it’s too much," said Kasi Bereta, the bar's owner. #portagepark #avondale #chicago #robbery #smashandgrab
