There is one thing grief taught me that I never expected.
Not that life is unfair.
Not that time heals.
But that the way we look at life changes after loss.
The sunrise becomes more beautiful.
Ordinary moments become precious.
People become more important than things.
Small inconveniences stop feeling so important.
You begin to notice what really matters.
Not because losing someone is a gift.
I would give anything to have my dad back.
But grief has a way of stripping life down to what is real.
It reminds us that nothing is guaranteed.
That every goodbye could be the last.
That love deserves to be spoken while we still can.
Maybe healing isn’t changing what happened.
Maybe it’s slowly changing the way we see the life that’s still in front of us.
