Following the incident, Poirier addressed the situation on Instagram, revealing that he’s struggling with life after retirement and is seeking help. “I’m at the point where I need some help. Walking away from fighting hasn’t been easy on me, and alcohol isn’t the answer,” Poirier wrote. “It ruined my father’s life, and I won’t allow it to ruin mine. My family deserves the best version of me. I’m doing everything I can to get my mind right and take the right next steps.”
