On this day in 2010, the Yankees came back from down four in the ninth inning to defeat the Dodgers in ten innings. In the ninth, the Yankees were trailing 6-2 with one out and nobody on. They had a 99% chance to lose the game. Then, A-Rod singled to get things going. Canó ripped an RBI double to make it 6-3. Posada singled, Granderson walked, and then Chad Huffman came up in a bases loaded spot and delivered a two RBI single to pull it within one at 6-5. Colin Curtis grounded into a fielder’s choice to score Granderson from third and tie it at 6. Grandy just barely beat the throw. If he was tagged out there, the game would have been over. A 4-run rally in the 9th with the game on the line.
