Defense attorney Michael J. Brown was appointed to represent Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex A. Heuermann after the Massapequa Park resident was arrested in July 2023. Heuermann took a guilty plea on April 8, admitting killing eight women in what became one of the longest crime mysteries on Long Island for more than a decade.
