A man has been arrested after an 83-year-old woman passed away following a purse robbery in Glendale. Prosecutors say Ali Hchaili stole the woman’s purse near Beardsley and Deer Valley roads on June 20, then hit her with his vehicle while fleeing the scene. The woman was taken to the hospital, where she later passed away. Prosecutors say Hchaili is also accused of targeting another elderly woman just five days earlier after watching her withdraw money from a bank.
