Arizona is building its 27th wildlife crossing, and these projects are already cutting crashes in a major way. The new Willard Springs Wildlife Overpass is being built over I-17 about 12 miles south of Flagstaff to help elk, deer, and other wildlife cross safely. Arizona sees more than 1,200 reported wildlife-vehicle crashes every year, but existing wildlife crossings have been credited with reducing wildlife-related crashes by about 90%. Should Arizona build more of these? Send us your stories to be featured on the page. Via ADOT #ArizonaNews #ArizonaWildlife #FlagstaffArizona #ArizonaRoads #ArizonaOutdoors
