#fosterFriday Meet Sylvester. He’s a 6-year-old fluff who has been in a cozy foster home for the past month. Sylvester’s foster says that it took some time for him to get comfortable, but after just a week, he was hopping onto the bed asking for sweet pets. We’ve also learned that he enjoys spending his day independently and will seek attention when he wants it. Overall, Sylvester is an easy-going cat when new friends approach gently. His foster believes that given enough time, Sylvester will be a cuddlebug with his special people. Without his foster, it would have been difficult for us to truly understand who Sylvester really was. This Foster-A-Pet Month we encourage people to try fostering—even if it’s just one time. Shelter pets who are able to go to a loving foster home temporarily are able to socialize better, avoid the stressful shelter environment, and, most importantly, find perfect matches sooner.
