First time behind a 300mm lens šø

Phones are great. But getting this close to a lion, a wild dog, or an elephant doing its thing? Thatās a different kind of buzz.
.
This trip taught me more about wildlife photography than I thought it would. Itās not just about pointing a camera at an animal. Itās about catching them actually doing something. Anything other than sleeping, which apparently they do for 18 hours a day.
.
My favourite shot from the whole trip? A bird with a tiny fish in its beak. Didnāt even notice until I got home and pulled the photos up on my laptop. Thatās the bit nobody tells you about wildlife photography. Half the magic happens later.
.
Still teaching myself how to edit them properly. Sliders are a whole other learning curve. But the bush is generous, and the 300mm did most of the work.
