Things to know before riding up Mount Blue Sky: 🏔️ This is the highest paved road in North America! You’ll reach 14,266 feet above sea level at the summit (technically youll need to do a short hike to the top to reach that elevation). 📝 This is the same road and mountain that was previously known as Mount Evans. ❄️ the road is only open seasonally due to snowpack and adverse weather. It will close for the 2026 season on September 7th. 🥶 Pack extra layers - it is usually 30°F colder at the summit than at lower elevations like Evergreen or Denver. ☀️ Colorado gets summer monsoons which can turn into hail, snow, and lightning at elevation. the best time to visit is in the morning. 🎟️ Timed entry permits are required via the @RecreationGovR1S during peak hours. #colorado #motorcycletravel #harleydavidson #roadtrip
