Xavier is seated. His hands are on his head. He is confused. He repeatedly pleads for help. At one point, he begs officers not to kill him. What follows is a rapid escalation. More officers arrive. Force is used. A struggle ensues. Xavier Hernandez never makes it home. The autopsy ruled his death a homicide. The cause of death was listed as asphyxia due to chest compression during law enforcement restraint. The report also documented blunt force injuries to his torso and extremities.
