Jack Imburgia on Instagram: "The Exact Settings I Use for Basketball
Ever wonder what settings I use to capture smooth basketball footage? 👀
Here’s the exact setup behind these shots:
Camera: Sony FX3 — My go-to camera for sports.
Lens: Sony 50-150mm f/2 — One of the most underrated lenses I’ve used.
Filter: Peter McKinnon Variable ND — Pretty much the only ND filter I need.
Picture Profile: S-Log3 — I’m almost always shooting in S-Log3 for the flexibility in color grading.
Frame Rate: 120fps — My favorite frame rate for capturing fast game action.
ISO: 12,800 — The arena was dark, so I bumped it up to the FX3’s second dual base ISO to keep the image clean.
White Balance: 4,400K — Dialed in to match the arena lighting and keep colors consistent.
Shutter Speed: 1/250 — Double my frame rate to maintain natural-looking motion.

If this was helpful, save it for your next shoot and send it to another sports...
