There is a right and wrong gift to give a mom who just delivered early/unexpectedly and now has a baby in the NICU and these are my best ideas if you’re looking to help a friend. We had a 30 day stint in the NICU with Blake due to HELLP/severe preeclampsia that led to emergency c-section at 32 weeks. Our time in the NICU was relatively simple compared to many that were there and I think of those mammas and babies daily😮‍💨 All childbirth is hard, no matter what the outcome is. But there is a loneliness, isolation, deep pain and anxiety that comes with a NICU stay. These gifts I think help with that.
