The MOST COMMON Amateur Mistake ❌ An inside takeaway can create a lot of problems… Especially when it leads to the club steepening in transition. For many golfers, the root cause isn’t where the hands go. It’s how the forearms rotate in the takeaway. Too much rotation early can get the club trapped behind you, laid off at the top, and force compensations on the way down. ⸻ A simple place to start? Pay attention to how much the forearms are rolling in the first part of the backswing. Often, a little less rotation is all it takes to keep the club more in front of you and make the downswing much easier. ⸻ As always… Golf is full of exceptions. There are plenty of great players who take the club inside and absolutely stripe it.
