3 AI workflows I actually use in high finance

A lot of people use AI to skip the thinking. I use it to get to the thinking faster.
Three ways I do that:
1. Make it read, not write.
One of the best uses of AI is getting a faster first pass through a long filing, transcript, or research report. I ask it to pull out what matters and show me exactly where each point came from so I can check it myself.
Prompt: “Review this [filing / transcript / research report]: [paste or attach]. Identify the five points that matter most for analyzing this business or industry. For each one, include the exact supporting quote and page, section, or speaker reference. Don’t infer anything the document doesn’t support. If you can’t find direct support for a point, say so.”
2. Stop re-explaining yourself.
I got tired of correcting the same generic output every time I opened a new chat. Now I keep one document with examples of how I write emails, my Excel and PowerPoint format...
