Today, we are crowning soccer referee Brooke Mayo as our #QueenoftheWeek 👑 Born in Garland, Texas, Mayo found a passion for soccer at a young age. She began playing when she was four years old and joined competitive leagues when she turned thirteen. Around the same time, Mayo also took an interest in refereeing. Throughout high school, she would alternate between playing and refereeing. She later earned an athletic scholarship to Tennessee Tech University, where she joined the Golden Eagles soccer team while continuing to referee and assist with coaching. After graduation, Mayo pursued a career as an assistant referee. She spent two years officiating in the National Women’s Soccer League before earning her FIFA badge in 2018. She also began overseeing games at Major Soccer League in 2020.
