University of Cincinnati grad JP Suozzi helped win the indianapolismotorspeedway 500 by 0.023 seconds, the closest finish in the race's 110-year history. ๐
Suozzi graduated from UC's College of Engineering and Applied Science (uc_ceas) in 2025 and is now a trackside engineer for Honda Racing, calibrating engines for meyershankracing driver frosenqvist. His path started with a UC co-op that didn't even exist until he asked Honda to create one for trackside engineering.
Five co-op rotations later, he earned both a bachelor's and master's degree through UC's ACCEND program (Accelerated Engineering Degree, which lets students complete both degrees in a shorter timeframe), and honda hired him full-time before he'd even finished his master's.
"I'll have four years of experience at age 24. That's huge in this industry, just to get your foot in the door."
