🚨 BREAKING: Park cordoned off by police after teenager stabbed A teenager has been stabbed during a late night attack inside Birkenhead Park. The ECHO understands the incident happened close to Birkenhead Park Cricket Club in the early hours of Sunday. Officers were called at around 1.45am following reports of the serious assault. The teenager is in hospital receiving treatment and is in a stable condition which is not believed to be life-threatening. The gates to the lower part of the historic park have been locked by Wirral Council preventing anyone from accessing it.
