The all-new, fifth-generation BMW X5 is here, and it brings the Neue Klasse design language to BMW's best-selling SUV. We got an exclusive walkaround in Munich with the project lead for the X5 G65, followed by a design deep-dive with a BMW designer covering both the exterior and interior.
This generation runs on a flexible CLAR-based platform built around five drivetrains: petrol, diesel, two plug-in hybrids, a fully electric iX5, and a hydrogen version arriving in 2028 β all sharing the same body and built in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
