If someone uses an English idiom in a meeting and you don’t understand it, you don’t need to pretend.    You can ask clearly and still sound professional. You can also use these phrases:    🔵 Could you explain that another way?    🔵 Sorry, I’m not sure I understood that expression.    🔵 Just checking, does that mean this task is less urgent now?    🔵 Could you give me a quick example?    You won’t know every idiom in a meeting.
