Chinese commercial space company CAS Space announced on Tuesday that its 110 tonne liquid oxygen kerosene engine, Liqing-2, has completed a long duration qualification test, marking a key step toward serving as the main engine for the reusable Lijian-2 rocket.
During the test, the engine operated continuously for 620 seconds, about 3.5 times longer than its actual flight duration, setting a new record for its longest stable operation.
