The SCIP team traveled to Columbia this week to attend the Victims Matter Rally and Advocacy Day at the South Carolina State House, hosted by SCCADVASAand SCVAN Legal Services Program. It was powerful to stand alongside advocates, survivors, and partners from across South Carolina working to strengthen support for victims of crime and advance prevention efforts statewide. We were especially honored to hear from and connect with Gilda Cobb-Hunter, a longtime champion of sexual violence prevention and a key supporter of SCIP. One of the most meaningful moments of the day was being recognized in both the South Carolina House and Senate chambers alongside advocates from across the state.
