It was a privilege to present at the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education conference on campus safety at Coastal Carolina University. Our presentation focused on examining sexual violence on college campuses. We emphasized the “why of the work” before going into what SCIP is doing across South Carolina colleges and universities. Addressing sexual violence is a responsibility that we all must carry. Sexual violence impacts us all—it is a bipartisan issue, and we all have to care about these issues. We are grateful for the relationships, partnerships, and collaborations we have across the state. Our most significant contribution will take place this coming academic year.
