In 2008, the TTC unveiled the first Pride Bus! Covered with a coat of "Strawberry Crush" paint, and embellished with stars, sparkles, and flowers, the interior was decorated to resemble the bus in The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. The first Pride Bus was led by TTC driver Kathy Furtado, with Susan Bigoni (voice of the TTC's stop announcements) as DJ on the speaker system. Now every June the bus can be spotted on the 94 Wellesley route, as well as the Pride Parade, the Trans March and the Dyke March.
