Most of us did not learn what love should look and feel like by being taught.
We learned by watching.
We absorbed relationship beliefs from the people who raised us, the relationships we witnessed, the experiences that shaped us, and the stories we told ourselves about what love meant.
Over time, those beliefs can become so familiar that they feel like facts.
They influence who we choose, what we tolerate, what we fear, and what we expect from the people we love.
The challenge is that some of those beliefs were never true to begin with. They were survival strategies, protective adaptations, or conclusions we reached when we were too young to know any differently.
That is why relationship growth often requires unlearning as much as learning.
As you go through these slides, notice which beliefs and behaviors feel familiar.
Which relationship belief or behavior did you have to unlearn the hard way, and what did that lesson teach you? What are you still hoping to learn or practice?...
