The Hobbit set has already given us some incredible designs, but these are my Top 5 favorite spoilers so far. Thorin, Mountain-king – My favorite design in the set. Equipping your entire board at once and turning every Equipment into removal is incredibly flavorful and has real Commander potential. Smaug the Magnificent – One of the coolest-looking dragons Wizards has printed in years. The gold-frame treatment is gorgeous, and if you’re a Dragon player, this is a must-have. Sauron, the Dark Lord – Already one of the strongest commanders in Grixis, and this new treatment somehow makes one of the best Commander cards even more desirable. Tom, Bert, and William – Such a fun callback to The Hobbit. Sacrifice outlets are always interesting, and I think this card has way more potential than people are giving it credit for.
