The country’s longest-running weekly LGBTQ radio show started in Minneapolis, MN. “Fresh Fruit” went live on kfaifmradio in 1978. The show was the sole source of representation for many Twin Cities listeners when it started as the Internet and social media weren’t available to connect people. The show continues to provide a space for Queer news, arts, culture and joy. Listen on Thursdays at 7 p.m. on the radio at 90.3 FM in the Twin Cities or online at kfai.org. KFAI is a volunteer-based community radio station. Tours of KFAI were offered during doorsopenmpls in the spring where the community was able to learn more about the station and its history. #minneapolis #minneapolismn #twincities #minnesota #minneapolisminnesota
