This summer saw another stirring charge through history by CHS students led, as always, by Col. Rizzo.  For more than decades, history teacher Sam Rizzo ’97 has led CHS students on a trip to Gettysburg, Pa. and Washington, D.C.  A group of rising seniors toured Civil War battlegrounds and other historic sites earlier this month with Rizzo, a 23-year teacher at CHS who is the History Department Chair and a teacher of Advanced Placement U.S. History. This year’s group toured Gettysburg sites as the 195th New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment under Col. Rizzo.
