I’m Afghan. And so is the girl in the photo. The difference. I have rights and she doesn’t. Being Afghan is one of my greatest sources of pride. But it also comes with heartbreak. While I have the freedom to chase my dreams, millions of Afghan women and girls are still fighting for basic rights like education, work, and independence I share this not to create division, but because I believe their stories deserve to be seen and remembered. Behind every headline are women with dreams, talents, families, and futures.
