Growing up, people would sometimes switch to English because my French didn't sound like their French. It used to bother me, but now it reminds me of something important. French isn't spoken in just one place, and it doesn't sound the same everywhere. Every accent tells a story about where you grew up, the people around you, and the languages that shaped you. I'm proud to be Franco-Ontarian, and I'm teaching my daughter that there's no "right" accent- just different ones. The diversity of the French language is something to celebrate. #multilingualfamily #languagedevelopment #frenchcanadian #french #momlife
