Some impressions from last night’s special anniversary event where we celebrated 40 years of EUMETSAT with our Council Delegates and international partners to mark four decades of collaboration and cooperation. 🥂 The evening opened with a welcome address from our Director-General, followed by a keynote from Celeste Saulo on the growing importance of satellite data for weather and climate monitoring - and EUMETSAT’s role within it. Our local community was represented by Boris Rhein, Minister President of Hesse, who spoke about our long-standing partnership with local authorities and the value EUMETSAT brings to the region.
