A tribal family from Panna district in Madhya Pradesh has struck diamond for the second time in just two years after discovering an 11.19-carat gem-quality diamond in the shallow diamond mines of the region. The precious stone has been deposited at the Panna Diamond Office and is estimated to fetch around ₹30 lakh at an upcoming government auction, although the final value will depend on its quality and bidding. The family's latest discovery comes after they found a 19.22-carat diamond in 2024, which was auctioned for nearly ₹93 lakh. After government royalty and taxes were deducted, the family received the remaining amount, which they used to improve their financial condition.
