🇮🇳 AMCA Engine Deal Hits Roadblock
India's talks with US-based GE Aerospace for F414 engines to power the AMCA (Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft) have reportedly hit a major roadblock after the company sought a sharp increase in price.
According to reports, the estimated cost per engine has risen from around ₹70–80 crore to over ₹200 crore, leading to a halt in negotiations. The proposed deal also includes technology transfer and local manufacturing, both considered crucial for India's fifth-generation fighter jet programme.
The government has not officially confirmed the reported price figures or announced the next course of action.
