Feeding animals is basically teaching them that humans are a vending machine, except the vending machine also gets too close, screams, runs away, and occasionally a ranger has to get involved. The safest, most respectful way to enjoy wildlife in parks is simple: look, take a picture, enjoy from a safe distance, keep your snacks to yourself, and let wildlife stay wild.
