The Pocket Fire, burning about 7 miles north of Sedona, has now grown to more than 11,000 acres and remains 0% contained. More than 900 firefighters are working in extremely steep and rugged terrain, making this one of the most challenging wildfires in the West. Fortunately, no structures have been lost and no injuries have been reported. While the cause of the fire is still under investigation, it serves as an important reminder to follow all local fire restrictions. Avoid activities that can create sparks, properly extinguish cigarettes and joints, never leave campfires unattended, and never park over dry grass or use equipment that could ignite vegetation. One spark can change everything.
