Gracie Abrams got real about the perks that come with being a nepo baby, and honestly, it’s refreshing. ➡️
While on The New York Times’ ‘Popcast,’ Gracie opened up about how critics calling her a “nepo baby” is fair, and she acknowledged how the privilege allowed her to pursue her dreams with minimal financial stress.
“It’s like, I had a safety net, and that allowed me the ability to experiment and to concentrate, and I had the gift of time to dedicate to doing this thing I loved,” Gracie explained. “I wasn’t growing up afraid financially, and that’s the biggest deal.”
Gracie is the daughter of American filmmaker J.J. Abrams and former political aide turned co-CEO of Bad Robot Productions, Katie McGrath.
Gracie told co-hosts Jon Caramanica and Joe Coscarelli that whatever the critics are saying about her online, she’s had similar thoughts but “10 times worse.”
“When I see people pointing that out, it’s like, I get it... hardcore.”
