Justin Bieber took part in one of hockey’s biggest nights by announcing the first overall pick at the 2026 NHL Draft. 🏒 A lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs fan, the Canadian singer walked onstage alongside NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman after telling the crowd he was grateful to be there and that he’d been “a Leafs fan since I was just a little boy.” Bieber then revealed the Maple Leafs’ selection, announcing 18-year-old Gavin McKenna from Yukon as the No. 1 overall pick, with his song ‘Yukon’ playing in the background. “Mr. McKenna, we would like to draft you to the Toronto Maple Leafs,” Bieber said as the top prospect made his way to the stage. McKenna called the experience “a dream come true” as he officially joined the Leafs after a standout freshman season at Penn State.
